a couple of months ago my sister and i found a tawny frogmouth on the side of the road. we checked it over and unfortunately it had died. but from this i came to realise just how beautiful they are. it is nice to see someone pay them appreciation.

-yeah, owls are such amazing creatures. with these guys they're so sure of their camouflage that you can walk right up close to them and all they'll do is open an eye and look at you. they make these soft little croaking sounds ( which I guess is where they get their name -? ) It's good that they're around, so few natives survive in the settled parts..
